History

The first screen you will see once iWatchr is launched is know as the History Log. This is where all your past daily logs are stored if you ever need to look back on a day.

One of the features iWatchr has for keeping track of is a "weekly" points feature. It does this by keeping the days in the History log  color-coded (red/blue). Days that are in BLUE are days that count towards the factoring of the weekly points. Days in RED are days from previous weeks and they do not factor into your weekly points. (See  "settings" link for more info on this feature and how it works).

Other information displayed in the History log is a points total for each corresponding day. This total can be displayed in terms of "total used" or if a daily allowance is provided in settings, "total remaining".

If you hit the Menu button there are a few options you can choose.  "Export/Delete Multiple"  is used to backup up any/all logs via email or delete multiple logs at once.

"Add New Date" is used to add any days you may have missed. When you open iWatchr for the first time each day it will automatically create a new log for that day for you. If it has been more than one day since you last used iWatchr and you want to go back and log foods for that missed day, you can do this by selecting this option. Once you add the new day, long-press it so you can edit the actual date. Then you can add foods to it like you would any other day.

If you would like to edit a particular day's log, simply tap the desired day and you will be brought to a "details" screen where all the foods for that day will be listed. Hit the Menu button and select "Add New Entry". You will be presented with a view to enter in the name of the food as well as it's point value. You also have access to the "Quick-Calc" from here. Quick-Calc is a smaller version of the calculator view so that you can perform a foods' point calculation without having to go to the actual Calculator tab. (You can set in Settings which calculator you want Quick-Calc to use...American or European.)

At the top of details view, there is some other displayed data. The "extra left" number is the amount of "weekly" points you have left. This number is determined by two things. The first is what you have the "extra score allowed" setting set to (assuming the feature is turned on) and the second is the total amount you have gone over your daily allowance in each of the days that pertains to your week (days colored blue).

**NOTE....If you are using the "Non-US" setting for "Extra Type" in Settings, this will show "banked left" instead of "extra left".**

To the right of the "extra/banked" number is "food pts.". This number just represents the total value of all the foods for that particular day. Next to that is the "activity score". This is where your activity (exercise) score for this particular day, if any, would go. Points can be added here either via the "Bonus Calculator" or manually. To do it through the calculator, see the above "bonus calculator" link. To do it manually, hit the Menu button and then "Edit Activity Score".

The last number which is next to activity pts. is "total pts. used" (this may also say "total pts. left", depending on what you have it set to in settings. See settings link for more info on this). This number is the final calculation of points for this particular day. (If using "US" type...It takes your total food points and subtracts any exercise points you may have. If using "Non-US" it will match what the "food pts." are).

Daily Intake

Another great feature of iWatchr is the Daily Intake tracker. Each daily log has it's own tracker which can be accessed by hitting the Menu button and then "Record Intake".

Before you do this though you may want to go to Settings so you can configure it the way you like. iWatchr's Intake tracker is fully customizable which allows you to track up to 7 items at a time. Once you are in Settings choose the "Daily Intake" setting. This will bring you to a screen where you can decide which items you want to track by giving each a name. Then set how many of each item you are expecting to track per day in the "Quantity" field. (For example, if you need to consume 6 fruits per day then simply put a 6 in the "Quantity" field).

The status button on the right of each item is an on/off for that item to be displayed. This is useful if you only are tracking 4 or 5 items. You can turn any items you are not using "off" so they are not displayed in the daily logs.

Once you have everything configured, hit Save and then you are ready to go!! Now to actually track items during the day, when in the details view, hit the Menu button and then "Record Intake". Here you can use the "+" and "-" buttons to add or subtract to a particular item. Items you have tracked for that day are displayed below the point totals.
