iWatchr has alot of settings to adjust to your liking. Anywhere from using decimal displays to editing daily/weekly allowances to setting up the Weight Tracker, there really isn't much you would want to do that iWatchr doesn't allow with a quick change.
HISTORY/LOG:
**Displays..... This is the setting for how you want your totals displayed throughout the app. Also will change how "total pts." is displayed in each individual daily log and how the "pts." are displayed on the main History log section where all your days are listed.
**Daily Allowance.... This is where you enter how many points per day you are allowing yourself. You will need to enter this in if you want the app to display "total left". You will also need this if you have the extra type setting set to "US".
**Daily Intake.... This setting is for configuring your daily log's daily intake items. To learn more about using this go to the "History" link above.
EXTRA SCORE:
**Extra Type.... This is where you choose how you want your extra score feature (weekly points) to work. The extra score feature is a "overflow" type feature in which you allow yourself (or earn) a certain amount of points a week besides your normal allowed daily points. If you have this set to "US", the way this feature works is if you were to go over your daily allowance on certain days, iWatchr will start to draw from this "extra" allowance on those days. If you were to go over one day, you can replenish the extra allowed by earning "bonus" exercise points BUT only for the same day that the exercise was done. For example, say your daily was 20 and your extra weekly was 35. One day you used 25 points so now the extra is 30. If you were to gain exercise points that same day you went over then they could be put back onto your weekly points. So if you gained 3 exercise points, your extra weekly would then be 33. It only goes back if it all happened the same day. If you had gone over (25) but didn't exercise until the next day then those 3 exercise points would NOT go back. Your extra weekly would remain at 30.
If you have this set to "Non-US" then the way this feature works is the "Extra Score Allowance" is not used/ignored. Instead any points you don't use in a certain day are "banked" so that you can use them in another day in that week. Unlike the "US" type, Exercise points that you have earned BUT not used ARE carried over to the next day and so forth. Once your new week starts any points you have left over are reset.
**Resets... This is where you determine which day the extra score feature will do it's automatic reset. When this day comes iWatchr you will notify you of the reset.
**Extra Score Allowance (US only).... This is the allowed "extra" points you are allowing yourself in the "US" type of tracking. Make sure you have a number entered in here if "Extra Type" is set to US.
Weight Graph:
**Start Weight.... This is the setting mentioned in the Weight link. Enter a "starting weight" here that will be displayed on the graph.
**Goal Weight.... This is the setting mentioned in the Weight link. Enter a "goal weight" here that will be displayed on the graph.
**Reset Weight Records.... This is a convenience setting that allows you to delete all the weight records you have at once. If you are starting fresh with the weight tracker make sure you delete all the old ones first.
Calculators:
**Custom Calculator....This setting is just a convenient access point to configure a custom formula into the calculator. Selecting this setting brings you to the same screen as if you were to hit the "Configure" option in the Menu button when viewing the Custom calculator in the Calculator tab.
**Quick Calculator.... This is the setting for changing which calculator QuickCalc uses when entering new foods in the logs or new favorites.
**Body Weight.... This option allows you to choose how you enter your body weight into the activity calculator when trying to calculate bonus exercise points. You can use either pounds (lbs.), kilograms (kgs.) or stones (st.).
Database:
**Save Current Database.... Use this option to backup iWatchr's database to your phone's sdcard. Once you do this you can actually retrieve the database if you wish by connecting your phone via usb but the main purpose is to have a backup just in case the database ever gets corrupted. (Recommend to do this every once in awhile)
**Restore Saved Database... Use this option to restore a previously saved database. If iWatchr's database ever gets corrupted and you have backed up the database before (via Save Current Database setting) you can restore to a previously working one without having to re-enter all your data.
Miscellaneous:
**Use Decimals.... Turn this on to have your point calculations in the calculator show tenths of a point (i.e. '5.7'). If you are using the european version of the calculator, the total gets rounded off to the nearest half point. The American version doesn't do this. This also will display decimals in your daily logs for all your point totals.
**About/Support/Change Log.... Some information on iWatchr and how it was developed, instructions on how to contact DavoliApps for support and other helpful instructions.
